I love having the Father of the Bride present the bridal bouquet to the bride - it's such a special moment. We had Alexis' Dad and Step Dad, have a private moment seeing Alexis in her gown for the first time - the "First Look" with Dad. 

For all of our clients, we create a Plan A as well as a contingency plan in case of bad weather. We saw the dark clouds coming as the day progressed closer to the ceremony hour. The Bride was adamant about wanting the ceremony outside on the beautiful beach. We hustled and made it happen and just in time! It started raining immediately after the recessional. Because of planning, we were able to have guests on the side of the room indoors and out of the rain. Our crew had to hustle and pull all the chairs and church pews out of the rain to prevent them from getting water damage - another reason to hire a planner and team!

Emily + Clark's Elegant Barn Wedding

BEHIND THE SCENES

No details are left unplanned. Our Senior Planners take time to plan table layout and event flow. Emily and Clark's design is one of my favorites! We softened the space with floor to ceiling drapes, created a focal lounge space near the custom dance floor and drew focus to a wow head table. The staircase was draped in stunning greenery and florals! Accent lighting and soft candlelight filled the room with a romantic glow.

Mother of the Bride sewed a heart inside the bride's gown  made from her and Emily's Dad's officer uniforms.

“Heidi and her team are the best decision I made for my wedding! Not only was my wedding beyond my wildest dreams but her team was so attentive the entire night holding my train, keeping us informed of what was coming next, and always making sure we were happy. Everybody knows finding time to eat at your own wedding can be next to impossible, but Heidi made sure my husband had more than enough of his favorite foods throughout the night (the only thing he wanted decision making power over). PORTLAND INSPIRED

We were drawn to Portland’s beautiful architecture as it truly speaks for itself. This styled shoot at Adored Vintage focused on bringing out the truly imaginative, creative and natural talent that we love about the Portland scene. Keeping to neutral tones to accent Portland’s unique structure. The Oatmeal tone velvet with natural Tuscany linen napkins accented the ceramic pottery details and romantic gold elements. 

Textures were the focus for this tablescape with simple two tone vases, soft romantic hues and lush local floral elements. A tablescape is an experience for your guests. Run your fingertips over the soft velvet linen, the rough and smooth ceramics, the glassware, brass candlesticks and acrylic chairs. A tactile dream!

Acrylic chairs are a beautiful modern take on special event seating. Modern or classic and even with old world design style, they work! Showcase that beautiful linen and table design with a chair that only enhances the experience.

The brides dress, a stunning design from Alexandra Grecco,  reflects simple elegance with contemporary lines and movement. The silhouette while simple in design; mimics the dramatic architecture surrounding St. John’s bridge with a mirrored deep V neckline and stunning mid-thigh slit. Complementing the modern design is a delicate golden maple leaf crown from Melinda Rose Designs.

The cake was kept simple to compliment the signature cocktail and focus on texture mimicking the ceramic details and adorned with natural floral elements

“As a nod to Portland’s unique history and innovation we created a customized botanical cocktail. “Slow and Steady” is a fortified wine based cocktail that is infused with Rosemary, Dry Vermouth, Apple Brandy, Lavender, Lemon and Sea Salt. The result hits you in waves – rosemary in the nose, herbaceous up front, followed by sweet apple, with a lightly salted effervescent finish.”
