To be selected to represent Idaho state was such a joy! When I started designing weddings in Idaho, I wanted to push the envelope. I was seeing shabby chic, burlap, mason jars, chair sashes and wanted to show that we can step outside those design elements. I wanted to show that our wedding industry is capable of much more, we just need our clients to trust us to create something unique and remarkable.
After seeing Ira and Lucy’s portfolio and reading their mission statement to design thoughtful and remarkable weddings, I knew they were the perfect team to help me plan my wedding while I was living out of state. From our first phone conversation to our sparkler send off, senior coordinator Victoria Haney went above and beyond to make my wedding day a dream come true. Most importantly, she consistently listened carefully to both my fiancé’s hopes and mine for our wedding day to ensure that all our expectations were met. She remembered even the smallest details I mentioned along the way, calmed my worries no matter what time of day, was creative and innovative when it came to the wedding design, was resourceful and well connected to our vendors, logical when talking through our mutual decision making and exceedingly kind and patient throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough about how Victoria was an advocate for me, my fiancé and my family, in order to make sure the day was everything we all wanted it to be. Victoria is incredibly talented and dedicated to her work. I would (and have already!) recommend Ira and Lucy to anyone planning a wedding, no matter how big or small.

I have had the WORSE wedding withdrawals ever! It’s such a sad feeling when it’s all over. *:( sad My heart was happy to see your name pop up this morning! I will never be able to thank you enough for everything you did for us. You are an amazing person with a heart of gold. You pulled off Maddy’s special day perfectly. I know how incredibly hard you and your staff work. Everything little tiny thing was done with so much love and attention. I LOVE seeing your “Behind the Scenes” on Instagram! It breaks my heart really!! Maddy and I have been enjoying seeing all your posts of the weddings you have been working on. We giggle because we are actually” jealous” they get to spend time you. You make the planning process so special and fun, we didn’t want it to end. You have a talent beyond words but combine it with so much love and that’s what make you so special. We have had endless compliments on the wedding thanks to you. The venue turned out spectacular and when we walked into to dinner, it was truly a wonderland. Just gorgeous and thanks to Kara, it smelled so good! I can’t wait for our pictures! I thought the sneak peeks were so awesome! We appreciate you to no end!!!! When you have an iffy forecast, sometimes you have to make decisions on the fly... oh how bad did we want our ceremony in the gardens, but thunderstorms were moving through the area for a couple days and we had 30 mph winds headed our way... so, up went the tent and a quick change to our Rainy Day plan! It worked out well and we are glad we made it happen. As the Bride entered the tent, gusts of wind started up and while it wasn't rain... it was a lot of wind. Thank you Tates Tents and Events for getting this up for us!

This was thee moment mother-of-the-bride, Kathy, and I had been dreaming of and working so hard for. Kathy was a dream of a mother to work with! Her creative talents were inspiring and bouncing ideas off of one-another was such a special experience. I'm so proud to have done this beside her... Kathy, I'll never forget this moment and I'm so excited we were able to keep the dance floor a HUGE surprise! Thank you Sound Wave for working with us and the many many revisions we did to get the dance floor and lighting just right!

When I asked Kara what she thought during dinner she said she felt like she was at a celebrity wedding. Jan-Michael said he wanted to do it all again but experience it as a guest!
