To be selected to represent Idaho state was such a joy! When I started designing weddings in Idaho, I wanted to push the envelope. I was seeing shabby chic, burlap, mason jars, chair sashes and wanted to show that we can step outside those design elements. I wanted to show that our wedding industry is capable of much more, we just need our clients to trust us to create something unique and remarkable.

Winter Wedding Sneak Peek!

Alysse and Kris married early December at the beautiful Still Water Hollow with the first snow fall of the season! Alysse's mother did an incredible job decorating the reception. It was such a joy to add the final touches with the bride & groom special seating, the wine barrel cake table, old skates, skis and sled and a few other special details here and there. Seeing Alysse's face light up with more joy than words could ever express was so special! Her Mom rented our vintage fur capelet as a surprise for Alysse. During her bridal portraits we had her close her eyes and her mom gave her the capelet. Everyone was teary eyed and so happy! Chelsea and bridesmaids braved the cold and took these adorable pics with our "Cora" vintage blue settee. Thank you Chelsea Risko Photography for sharing these sneak peeks with us! Winter Wedding Inspiration

It's time for romance...

...surrounded with glistening snow, soft candlelight, and subtle hues of a frosted winterland. As a little girl my love for weddings first began with visions of an incredible winter dream. I flipped through an InStyle Magazine featuring a Russian Palace Winter Inspired Wedding and I was hooked. I tore the pages out and put them into a binder, my "dream wedding" binder. No, of course it didn't happen that way. I ended up the complete opposite with a vintage summer wedding that was perfect for my husband and I. I will admit though, I still think of those torn out pages...and I still love the fairytale of a winter wedding.

I have hopes that Ira & Lucy will get to be part of someone's dream winter wedding soon. McCall, Sun Valley, Boise...someone's old barn...Let's dream together... I'm so hoping Still Water Hollow in Nampa will have a winter wedding that we can do something like this for! I love the old chapel and the grounds! It'd be so nostalgic... If I could have it my way...I'd put a clear top tent in the country village, so you could still see the stars, the trees and the snow covered rustic cottages. Twinkling lights in the trees would invite lovers to stroll around the frozen pond. Soft candlelight would surround guests...hot cocoa...and a a solo cello for the bride's entrance...magic...

Sophisticated Winter Wedding Inspiration

After a very hot summer I am so very ready for cooler temps! Growing up in Western Washington I am just not accustomed to these drier and hotter temps! I love everything about the Fall and Winter - the layering styles in fashion, the hot yummy drinks, crock pot meals and cuddling under a warm blanket. You really know you're missing it when you have to play rain sound effects at night to sleep! It's not a lie, we seriously do that! ha! Here's a little winter wedding inspiration idea board I created this weekend while watching some football with the hubby! I love the preppy, sophisticated palette accented with soft candlelight and winter sparkle! So pretty!
